Already running the girls. - 10/10/16 04:30 PM
Been too nice and cool in the mornings to not be in the blind. Yesterday a doe and her twins. This morning had 5 under the feeder, here comes a scrub buck in next thing I knew the buck has his nose down and pushing one of the doe, he runs her off. He comes back in, after awhile runs another one off. Gotta like them cool mornings!!!

Sat drinking my coffee yesterday morning, watching an 8pt. in the field worried sick about a younger buck getting too close to a doe and yearling. They were both running after her before I lost sight of them.

I watched a young one chasing around a doe and her twins for 30 min on my first sit last Sunday also.

The bucks always start chasing tail early. They've waited 11 months for this! Way too early for rut.

I suspect the does that dropped early fawns should be hitting their first estrous cycle anytime now ... this should break up the bachelor groups and very few does will actually get bred the first cycle ... 28 days later when things get stupid
