Hi everyone so I have my first Texas hunt planned around the middle of November. I am a big mule deer and elk hunter but Texas is new I am hunting around Sonora TX. Any info would be great on weather that time of year. What I should bring. All help is welcome thanks

I would bring short sleeve shirts and plenty of cold beer.

I hunted the Sonora area for years. Northeast of town to be specific. Temperatures at that time of year can be very unpredictable. It could be highs in the 80s or lows below freezing. You'll probably need to watch the weather forecast, but still pack for cold and warm temps. The rut in that area really gets going toward the end of November thru the first two weeks of December. You should see lots of deer.

Rolling hills, some saddlebacks, cedars, northwest hill country terrain.
