looking at possibly getting on a lease out that way, and info would be great!
Depends on the place, and proximity to constant water. Some areas are wide open, some low areas have thick cover; Good deer, not monster, but good and decent numbers

We hung an our west of Vernon, in Quanah and our north border is the Red River. Last year was our first year, and having come from hunting East Texas for 10 years, we loved it. Deeds bodies were noticeably bigger, horns were bigger, we saw a ton more game animals.
Idk where it is exactly but it's around 800 acres on the river bottom and suppose to be pretty thick cover.

River bottom in that part of the country is what you want. Definitely sounds like it has potential.
I have some pictures that are suppose to be off the place, one of the deer is probably pushing 155-160. I'm pretty excited to go look at it! I hunted out west ( Irann) some last year and was really looking forward to going back that way this year but the brothers split the place up.

Good hunting that way. 2 rivers one is the pease the other is the red. If you know who runs the lease you may want to google them and see what pops up.
The pease runs through it and it backs up to a national forest or that's what the guy said. It's a family friend that wants us to join with him, he's been on it for a little while I think. Is there any difference in deer size on the pease vs the red?

Same size deer. Some nice deer do come out but are usually kept hush. The only state or federal land I know of is West of Vernon. Pease battleground and copper breaks state park. Good luck.

My ex neighbor hunted a place just west of the state prison. The Pease bordered the northern section. He always shot a nice buck. Heck, he videoed bucks I would have no qualms about taking. Lots of hogs and turkey as well. And if you like to hunt arrowheads, added bonus as well. His place was half wheat fields and we would always go after it was plowed.
Gotta be near Copper Breaks, Pease River Battle Ground is on private land. It's in Foard County, correct?
