Coming down that way for a rut rifle whitetail hunt in 2016.

Kinda got an open calender......the land is about 2 Hr west of San Angelo.

Should I aim at new moon after November full or???

find someone in the area that is watching activity ... plan for 28 days after they initial start chasing in mid-late Oct.

That is going to put you south of Midland in the Big Lake vicinity. Where exactly is the closest town?
