Antler Something ?? - 03/04/16 02:41 PM

I saw on one of the hunting shows a product you spray on natural / native browse.

It is to promote antler growth.

I can't remember the real name.

Can someone hlep me out?

Would like to try it it make sense it would work.

This. Just make a mineral site, put out salt/mineral blocks, or feed AntlerMax or one of the good proteins. They'll have all you need.

Thanks I did put out three mineral sites last weekend.

Going to check the camera tomorrow.

Also going to plant some sun flowers.

Don't think I can do too much.

This stuff did sound like it would help.

Got a lot of vines, dew berry, posiom oak, vines I am not sure what they are.

But I know they eat it. Saw them picking at the leaves.

So if a mineral will help add in anterler growth, maybe worth a try.

I'm sure it would help, but my fears are:
1. Can they ingest enough to really make a difference
2. How much time and effort is it to apply
3. Does it wash off in rain, thereby negating your work
4. What is the bang for the buck, amount-wise

I think you might be better served just applying a good fertilizer in the areas you see them browsing. Your mineral sites are a great addition. Good luck!

Yea I think so.

I am sure you are the voice of reason.

Mineral sites are much cheaper to put out.

I have not gone protein feeder yet, Mostly because of the huge coon population I have.

I don't care what anybody says, these guys are half monkey and can jump.

Thank to all for the replies and help.

At 60$ per 5 acres it wouldn't break the bank to find out! It supposedly "attracts" deer as well! Do yourself a little experiment and let us know.

Holy........ $60 a gallon for something that is going to do nothing. I've got to come up with a gimmick like that because I know someone is going to buy it. Hunters are always looking for an edge.
I know!!!!!!!!!!!!! A spray that you put on bushes that make does have twins 50% of the time. I'll call it, "Double Your Heard" only 19.95 a gallon, but wait!!!! Act now and I will throw in a second gallon for Free, just pay $19.95 separate shipping and handling charge. Money back guarantee, if you don't see at least one doe with twins.

You probably thought protein wouldn't do anything either. You never know until you try it. I don't think it will do squat as for as antlers go but who knows on the attractant part.

I think corn would be a much better and cheaper attractant.
