Ready - 02/15/16 03:25 PM

Broke down the Lamco for a little easier towing. Looks like a solo trip this weekend with a new feeder and 2K pounds worth of corn/protein eek2

Put a 3k lb all season on a similar trailer like in your first picture. Pulled it with a 1/2 ton chevy and thought I had a travel trailer hooked up! Lots of wind drag.

Good luck.

Lol, it seems like every time I am setting up a new feeder, it's a solo trip for me as well....where do all my friends go who ask if they can hunt during the season when I ask for a little help lifting a ton of corn?

That's how it is Mr T. I enjoy being out away from the city and they're worried about a little work.

That's a nice feeder titan. Gonna break in the new truck hauling it?

No sir I still have my FX4 Ecoboost and will be taking it. I will be using the Tacoma for fill trips when I'm not pulling a trailer.

I would add some old carpeting under those tow straps on the sharp corners if you haven't already. Those straps will cut thru on your long trip. up

Yes sir I always utilize softeners when going off road with a load. This was just on the smooth ride back home when I bought it

Got er done. New Lamco set and filled (put in 30 bags and could have held 3 or 4 more bags)

Added an Eliminator Plate and beefy cage to my broadcast feeder keep those damn coons out

Set-up my trusty ole Wildgame camera to see how quickly they get on the new feeder.

7 hour drive one way followed by 42 bags up ladders was exhausting, but hey I'm good to go for the next 3 1/2 months

Not calling you a liar but my experience with them is never more than a year. Most of them less. But then again it seems most game camera claims are mostly bs. Even some of the expensive ones stink.

Maybe I just got lucky, but I assure you it has worked well for me for one season in East Texas and last year in Val Verde. It took over 18K pictures last year and the only issues I had was fogginess for 2-3 hours after a rain storm. I do plan to switch to one of the cellular game cameras in the near future.

Are you not concerned about game visibility in the pen once the mesquites leaf out? My luck, it would snap a pic every time the wind blew one of the limbs.

This spot behind the mesquite just happens to be where I was standing to take a picture with my phone. The game camera is set-up away from trees/shrubs and pointing away from a rising/setting sun.
