A picture of a doe I shot this morning. I have been seeing her on a game camera all season but this morning was the first time live. You will notice that her right front leg is curled up and useless, so she was gimping around on three legs. She was shot with a .257 Roberts handload that very closely delivers the velocity of a .25-06. The exit hole should give you an idea of the terrific shock it delivers.
After the shot, she jumped my feeder enclosure game fence and ran another 50 yards before falling dead.
All the other deer killed with that rifle this season were bang-flop.
