Rattling up a buck

I Hunt my granddad's place in Menard, right on the San Saba. He has 100 acres. Its a long narrow strip of land. Most of the deer most probably migrate through, not sure if many truly live there year round. Anyways I have never rattled horns just sat at the blind and waited. Can I rattle up a buck this time of year? The blind sits about 100 yards from a nice tree line. Then past the tree line its an open area to the river.

Won't hurt to try. Early born doe fawns will be large enough body wise to cycle. So rutting activity will still be good with colder temps ahead.
