Texas Youth Hunt - First Deer - 12/07/15 03:58 PM
Daughter and I went on a Texas Youth Hunting Program hunt this weekend just west of Johnson City (beautiful hill country private ranch!). This is our second hunt with this awesome program and this is her first deer harvest (she got a hog on last hunt). She took this spike Sunday morning around 8am. Great shot placement at 50 yards. Overall 4 youth hunters took 3 doe, one spike and one boar (180 lbs). A great big thanks to the Texas Youth Hunting Program and all the landowners that make these hunts possible! By the way, that is a break barrel rifle and the action is open (still should have pointed it the other way!)
