Hill county (Hillsboro )

I was wondering if you can still hunt does during the general season? I'm used to only hunting does during the archery season only..but reading the outdoor annual and txpwd website it mentions no permit needed except under MLD land..ok that confused me. No I'm not hunting MLD land so does that mean we can still take a doe during the general season?
