Clay County Opening Weekend

Had a great opening weekend with my dad, grandfather, and a close family friend. My Dad and I doubled on 2 boars on opening morning. His was an absolute tank. Both boars had great cutters. Over 2.5 inches. I am guessing my pig was 225# and my dads was close to 300# if not larger than that. On Sunday am (probably my last hunt of the year because my wife is 38.5 weeks pregnant) I rattled in 3 bucks (2.5yo 7 point, 1.5yo spike, and the 3.5yo 8 point). It was fun to actually get them to respond to rattling. There is nothing like spending time in the outdoors and I can't wait to start making memories like this with my daughter.

Awesome! Where do you hunt in clay county? I am about 5 miles south of Henrietta and sat Saturday am/pm and Sunday am. My daughter took a doe Sunday am after seeing a couple of younger bucks Saturday working a scrape line.

Haven't seen any good bucks during the day all during bow season and they don't seem to stick around the feeders long right now, they are cruising and looking for love.

Dad was able to take this 3.5yo 9 point last weekend. They are in town from North Carolina waiting for the baby to be born.
