This was a frustrating bow season to say the least, I missed two does at 19 yards and 35 yards one due to her ducking the arrow, another due to pulling the arrow a little left. Needless to say I'm ready to break out the .243 and get some meat in the freezer. Weather looks great with a low of 39 and highs in the 60s on Saturday. I hope everyone has a great opening weekend. Yall be careful and good luck.

Bow season is just the appetizer for gun season. I was fortunate to stick a deer this bow season with my bow, but this is just a warm up for the rifle. I've been waiting 309 days for rifle season (not including spring turkey, shotgun doesn't count). Crappy thing is I have to wait until Sat evening, my wife has me going to visit family in Austin on Friday... dang it, woman knows it is opening gun season.

I am switching from my crossbow to my compound for the general season and still carry my rifle along, just to hair-lip some

It's always bow season
This. Hogs, exotics, fish. No need to put your bow away.
