Just a spike tonight

Took a spike 15-20 feet from my stand! He was with a small 8 that didnt make the 15 in spread rule. So i took the spike with a broke leg and the 8 watched him fall over dead and just kept eating . Never have i ever see that before!

Grill a back strap right now!

He was having a tough time walking around. When we skinned him he had the most fat i have ever seen on a deer aroubd here.. Some backstrap last night grilled up some dang good tacos!! Even the wife finally tried it and liked it ! I was shocked

Taking a rump roast and will turn it into deer tamales!

Nicely done. I always hate seeing an injured animal out in the woods. They are just coyote food without a chance to defend themselves or end their suffering.

My wife, who doesn't like most venison, calls first dibs on all grilled backstrap, done medium rare! Kids fight over 2nd helpings!
