Anyone have any experience deer hunting in Mitchell county? First year on a lease in that area. We have quite a bit of deer sign and 6-8 young bucks on cameras, but haven't seen many does yet. Just curious what we should expect. Thanks.

Most of Mitchell is good hunting. Higher numbers near the spade and further west.

Behind every black cloud is usually a silver lining. You might have an area that's not publicized, but has an expanding herd. Perfect ingredients for a big buck.

Thanks, he doesn't have to be a trophy, just old enough to shoot. :-) I am actually just happy to have a place to hunt, so taking a buck would be gravy.

If your east of Spade, maybe off 208 or near Silver? You should see good deer population. My family hunted the Spade for a long, long time, never a shortage of deer.
