lord willing (pics) - 10/12/15 10:38 PM

like the title says lord willing i will put the hammer down on this buck. i am not gonna sling an arrow at him, just dont want to chance a mishap and wound him. gonna wait for rifle season. i believe hes a 9 we let go last season. do you think hell break 150, his g4s are weak specialy that one side crab claw and brow tines aint impressive either.
sorry for crappy pictures

Re: lord willing (pics) - 10/12/15 11:08 PM

Don't think he'll make 150. 129-134 from what I can see on those pics. Great buck though! Good luck getting him!

Re: lord willing (pics) - 10/12/15 11:12 PM

Nice buck. With his spread I think he makes high 130s-140.

I wish you good luck getting him. up

Re: lord willing (pics) - 10/12/15 11:40 PM

Not enough time length or mass to get above 140 but a fantastic looking deer none the less

Re: lord willing (pics) - 10/12/15 11:44 PM

Vanguard I think he will be close. What do y'all beams average in mature deer? Because he has great beams.

Also his tines are longer then you think because of how the come off the back of the beam.

I'd smack him!! Big he misses 150 it won't be more the 5-6"

Re: lord willing (pics) - 10/13/15 12:09 AM

im thinking his beams will be around 24 my last 10 was 21 but his look longer

You and I are almost identical on guesses

I wouldn't shoot the bottom buck but would the top. Bottom deer looks 3.5-4.5 just via the limited picture

Re: lord willing (pics) - 10/13/15 12:20 AM

After looking at a better pic I think he would go mid 140s.

Re: lord willing (pics) - 10/13/15 01:00 AM

Looking at that picture he is better than I thought. I think he's 140-145

Re: lord willing (pics) - 10/13/15 02:00 AM

I am thinking low 140's- 141 more or less. Nice buck.

Re: lord willing (pics) - 10/13/15 02:48 PM

Heck of a deer, I'd decorate him with my tag and score wouldn't matter(although we score everything for record keeping). I don't think he will make 150 though.

Re: lord willing (pics) - 10/14/15 12:54 AM

Beautiful deer he would make a nice addition to any trophy room. I think score wise he will be in the mid to upper 130's.

Screw numbers, that's a hell of a buck, split on the g1 is icing on the already good cake, very nice buck man up

Re: lord willing (pics) - 11/24/15 09:22 PM

That is a great looking deer. Congrats!!

I had him at 141" but i gave him 24" for main beams, and i gave him 5" for bases.

thanks man.
it was a pretty spiritual ordeal for me. specially when he ran and i couldnt find him for an hr with no blood trail even though he has 3in holes through both sides, it sounded like he ran about 80 yds and crashed, i was looking too far for too long, he was only 40yds in the brush and the only way i didnt walk, he was hooking back. and i walked by him no less than 10 times but to the left of him.
oh and both g2s are split

Good deal! Seems like quite a few connecting with their target deer this year.

Great buck no matter the score
