First bow kill!

First bow kill! - 10/09/15 02:25 PM

Shot my first buck last night about 6:30 with my bow (spike). But was that intetense! I've been trying to get a deer with my bow for three years now and he is the first one that got within range. He was quarting away and it was a decent shot. If it wasn't for the rage hypodermic curing that giant hole I don't think I would have found him. I would post pictures but I can't get them to work. I would also like to get his scull mounted since I have worked so hard for him and he my first one, do you guys think that is a good idea?

Great first buck with a bow. If you don't mount the skull, years from now you will have wished you had.

My first bow kill was 1995 and was a 2 or 3 year effort to get my first deer. I gave up bow hunting until this year and took 2 pigs last weekend. All I want to do is bow hunt now. Congrats on your hunting success.

Congrats on your first! Any deer with a bow is a trophy in my book. Get the skull mounted with your arrow below it.

Thanks guys! I'm hooked now, there's nothing like letting that arrow fly! I'm glad I got the lighted knocks, it really shows penetration and makes it a lot easier to find it in the dark grin
