Has anyone ever tried a mid-day feeding time and hunted their feeder in the middle of the day during a full moon?

No, but if it stays dry I think it is worth trying.

Back when I lived in Louisiana, we'd go to the woods in the late morning during the rut. We'd often catch the big bucks crossing the logging roads or ROW's around mid-day. We used to call it "the noon express". I don't see that sort of noon movement here on our place in central Texas.

During the rut I believe it's worth a shot. Or if your on a place that the deer come running when the feeder goes off.

I haven't ran the feeder during the mid day, but have sat on stand during the day many times, taken quite a few deer between 11am and 2pm over the years. As mentioned, during the rut pays to be out sunup to sundown.

If you plan on sitting thru mid day, then it's a great idea. I wouldn't set for more than a couple of seconds though. I have my feeders set during the season to bump a little corn every two or three hours and in saying that I turn my morning and evening times down a bit to accommodate the additional corn throughout the day. This can be a very good tactic during just about every phase of the rut keeping does in the areas your hunting. The key is, hunt when the feeder is going off regardless time of day, especially during rutting activity.

75% of the time I see my bigger bucks between 11-2pm so I say it would be worth it.

Nope...have them spin somewhere between midnight-2am though.

I feed at noon on my place and see plenty of deer moving throughout the middle of the day to keep on throwing at noon. I've also killed some of my bigger bucks mid day.

During the season we throw 1-2 seconds at noon...many times while riding the property soon thereafter, we see activity near the feeders.

With cooler weather and the rut, the rules change, a lot. Midday hunting is actually a good idea. I just cannot sit in a blind that much.

I keep a pocket radio and ear buds in my bag. Between college games and talk radio, you can pass a lot of time in the stand quite easily. And being so quiet, it doesn't take much radio volume, meaning you can still hear the sound of nearby movement.

I do this every year. When I was in college I set one to go off at noon.. just for good measure. Well one day in December I was out doing some work on the feeder. It was unusually hot that day.. mid to upper 80s. I happened to glance back in the brush and something caught my eye. I couldn't decide if my eyes were playing tricks on me, but I could have sworn it was a big buck looking straight at me!

I finished with the feeder and went back to the house, grabbed my rifle and headed back out. I got to the blind about 12:30 and sat for a while.. long enough I was starting to doubt myself. It's way too hot.. middle of the day.. this is a dumb waste of time.. etc. I was trying to decide if i should head back to the house to cool off and take a nap when a little yearling doe came in and started feeding. She hangs around a while.. even lays down under a mesquite. About 30 more minutes went by and I hear footsteps to my right.. the biggest buck I had ever seen at the time had spotted the doe and was on his way in to check. He walked right past my blind at 15 yards, right up to the little doe. He didn't get to make any moves on her.. 50 yard shot to the lungs. 9 pts, dressed at 140lbs.. the biggest buck ever taken on our property until last year! I shot him at 2:30 in the afternoon on a HOT December day. Since then I always set my feeder for at least a few seconds.. never know when it'll help!

If your in a stretch of weather where it's cold wet and gloomy mid day feeding can be awesome, especially if you can get in totally undetected!
This is one of my midday bucks!
