Looking for deer horns with a dog?

Looking for deer horns with a dog? - 01/14/15 02:03 AM

I know that some people have dogs that are trained for looking for deer horns, and I've recently killed a deer that has a large piece of his right side broken off that I would like to find. The deer was hiting two feeders all year long so I think finding the horn is possible. In the picture below the big flat horn running of the G2 is missing. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

If you've got good pics, a good taxidermist can repair horn to match original. That's a beast, by the way!

Try as you might, you will never find a deer horn.

" ANTLERS " are extremely difficult to find, lots of luck involved in locating them, and you have to find them before the mice, squirrels and other animals get to them for the calcium.

Good luck !!

All you have to do is borrow the in-laws Caddie or Benz, drive it across the pasture and you will find the horn.
