Colorado Hunters questions - 12/29/14 02:36 PM

Are there any exceptions to the Colorado hunters education requirement? My father in law is exempt in TX, but it appears the only exception is a birth date before 1949 in CO. I have heard of exeptions due to # of years with a hunting license and a few others, but cannot find them documented anywhere. thoughts?

Any other things I need to be aware of before taking off?

I think that birth date is wrong the buddy that went with me couple years ago was exempt from the HE and he was born later then 1949, and you better have the card present or you wont get a tag

They look up your HE in the system you put in with your app and verify it with that state. Haven't had to present the actual card. Some offices may vary.

If you buy an OTC you better have it. I watched a 60 plus old doctor sit at camp until it was overnighted to him.

It's 15 dollars online.
