Colt, you are quite the poet. Good luck Kent, tell us if you see anything. I haven't been seeing much at the home place. Chalk mountain is a whole nother critter, however. Lots of deer movement.

Little slow this morning Erath. Couple slick heads and an 8. Heading to Kenny Fred's tonight in Bluffdale. If you in the neighborhood , stop by.

We drove out early, waited and looked, saw nothing worth shooting, and came home.

I have deer all over the place. Wife says "don't be dragging a dead deer in here till after Christmas", so I'm coyote hunting. And I guess I shot all the dang coyotes, cause I can't find them now. This afternoon I'll take my caller and my plastic coyote decoy (named Nancy Pelosi) and try the hay pasture.

And the darn pigs will not come back on my place. I used to hate them. Now I miss them.

An hour before sundown the deer gods smiled on me. Saw 4 bucks, 3 shooters. 4 does and a fawn. Let the Bucks go for my boys and shot a slickhead.
Eating tenderloins and eggs for breakfast.

The whiskey gods are smiling on me now by the fire at camp.

Hope all had luck today also.

Man it is nice to be able to stay at the ranch house this morning and send everyone off. Shot a bow buck Friday evening. I have hunted real hard almost every weekend since bow season started. Think I'll whip up a big breakfast this morning.
