He could be a real dandy next year. But, you seem to have quite a few young bucks on your camera, so I don't think taking this guy is going to limit your chances next year, either. I'm contemplating the same decision on a nice 3 or 4 year old, too.

Probably 2.5, maybe 3.5, but definitely not any older than that. Nice buck, either way. Do you hunt in Granger? My uncle works there and says there are some monsters taken every once in awhile down around the corps land and the lake.

I always wondered what it would be like to say that.
Seriously though, good luck!!
Curly, you sound like my Brother. He says that about every buck that gets killed on our place. I have to laugh sometimes. Heck, WE may not be here next year.

Billy, are you're feeders close to some thick, brushy areas? I know the area around Granger is farmland, mostly. Put your feeder(s) as close to thick brush as possible. You've probably done this already. Keep the faith. Some big deer come from that area.

Yep, thats a legal one. Were you able to take it? One of the biggest Deer I have ever see I saw at the Friendship park at the lake. It was early one Sept morning on my way fishing and he just stood in the road chewing his cud. He was prob 22" wide with at least 12pt. I tried to get a pic but soon as I got my phone up he trotted off into the woods.
