What happened on 12.1.14

Im not sure what happened on 12.1.14 but holy cow it had all of the wildlife moving.

I should have been in a stand on that day. More wildlife pics from trail cams on the 1st then any other day I've seen this year. Mostly does. 2 spike bucks. And pigs where I have never seen pigs before.

I cant remember if there was a big front that pushed in on that day or if it was rain or what...

Anyone else experience this?

It was the same at our place. Couple of the guys stayed over from the long weekend and said it was some of the best hunting of the year that Monday and Tuesday.

Man I'd like to know what this was. Looking forward to checking out the game cams as well.

First day after Thanksgiving weekend-they all knew we were not at the lease.

After a weekend of high temps near or in the 70's, a cold front blew through the night going into the first and continued to be cold for the second. One possibility of what got animals moving.

Second possibility was that the hunter pressure let up. I read earlier this year that thanksgiving weekend is the busiest hunting time outside of opening weekend in Texas, so the animals could have had less pressure and coupled with the cooler temps decided it was time to come eat.

All I know is I sat for the weekend prior to the first and saw jack, so glad some people sat the next day and saw some stuff.

Yep....once we finally cleared out they had to make up for lost time....

I was hunting on the 1st and did see a lot of movement in the morning hours, however nothing amazing, and no bucks.
