Glad to see I'm not the only one
I just got back from Llano county. Daytime movement is slow. My guess is,,,, lots of native winter rye grass is everywhere, semi-warm temps and moon phase. This is a bad combination for deer hunting.

Last weekend the deer seemed to be coming out of the woodwork just piling into food plots and feeders. Since Thursday I haven't seen any mature deer during daylight on cams.

It was TERRIBLE Friday and Saturday. A lot on camera during the night, but I didn't see a thing these two days. Very unusual for me, as I usually see several deer each trip.
Nothing in Eastland county, barren wasteland.
Seeing more deer in Hunt county this year than I've ever seen before. All doe save for one buck that needs at least another year. I still can't see why Hunt county has a short doe season.

I had not seen a deer at our place in Leon county in 3 weeks until yesterday morning I snuck in on the edge of a bedding area I normally stay away from. I saw 5 and had a foe and a nubbin buck bed down right under my tree. After about an hour I had to run them off. It was that or pee in my pants

A lot of rut activity all around this area. Mostly in the mornings until around 10 or so.
All I have on cam during day light is a doe with twins.
