ugh.. worst thing today.. anyone else had it happen....

Woke up at 500am to hit the blind, and wake up to 102.3 temp! I tried to still make it but my body said NO, SO WENT AND GOT THE GOOD OL'Penicillin shot.. Still not 100% bit hoping to break feaver and sinus junk. Threw the night...

Had it happen 2 seasons ago. I got back to camp after an evening hunt and couldn't even hang out with the guys I felt so bad. I had my mom who had come down with me grab some Allegra D from town and I took some when I got back to my Grandpa's and went to sleep. I woke up feeling a lot better the next morning and shot my buck too if I remember correctly.

Dlrz --- I'm really hoping this crud calms down prior to the AM lol so I can at least fling an arrow sheeezzz . Its a total buzz kill

Haven't been there, but I have gone to the stand with a bag full of cough drops. Hope you are on the mend.

Years ago I was scouting the day before season started. I slipped in some mud. Didn't fall down but I ended up in an awkward position. The next morning (opening day) I could not get out of bed. Pulled muscle in my back. I had to get help just to get into my pickup to drive home. Didn't get to hunt for 3 weeks. It was terrible.

I'm in the same shape you are. Mine hit Thursday morning. Felt a little better when I got up Friday. Around noon Friday it kicked back in full force. On my 4th day of feeling like total crap. Freezing one minute then burning up the next. It's been rough. Glad this wasn't a planned hunting weekend for me. Hope you get it out of your system soon and back in the stand.

Did you guys get your flu shots?

Well not sickness but a little injury. I was building the ladder to the box blind and used some screws I had laying around 2.5 inch and I was walking up the ladder got about 6-7 steps up and the screws in the step broke and I went down . The cheap #$$ screws broke so I threw some 12's in there. But I was out of the game for a few days.

I take a Emergyn C ever day and always keep extra at the lease for "those" days, Flight Attendants and Pilots swear by them...Hope you feel better, never fun

I think there is something bad going around right now. I got a cold Thursday (Nov. 6) and this cold lasted until this past Wednesday. I was feeling perfectly normal on Thursday, now here we are on Sunday & I have the aches, fever, chills, sinus congestion. It could be the same cold never went away, or a new bug all together. Either way, I rarely get sick so this must be a new bug that I had no immunity to.

Plus one of the guys brought his little Booger Maker down this weekend and every time I seen the kid at Camp he looked like a Snot Machine so I avoided him like the Plague ... Stopped and loaded up just in case...

And school teachers too!

That hasn't happened yet. Hope it doesn't but had the snuggles after the alarm went off this morning. Wife spent the night at the ranch and I just couldn't get out of the bed this morning. If'n you know what I mean.

I guess the deer aren't the only ones rutting!

Well I had slept and relaxed most of the day wish I still felt up to par to hit the woods today but will try in the AM . feeling 80% better now but, hope that this little snow helps out with the movement to marrow..
