Redemption

It didn't take long for me to redeem myself from the tree branch that deflected my arrow yesterday. I got in the stand about 4:30 today and started having deer come in right after I sat down. I was there about 20mins when this guy walked in. I know it's not one of the bucks I'm after but I have never seen him before and I'm a sucker for nice 8's and seeing how old he was I decided to take him. I drew back and the 2in grim reaper found it's mark it made for a very short tracking job.
Some of the pics are a little bloody but wanted y'all to see the hole the grim reaper made.

It would be a close race.
I couldn't pass him up. Now that the rut is starting we will start seeing a lot of other bucks.

You shoot him in the neck with a bow?

No its way his body position was when I shot. Hit him in the shoulder. He was real jumpy so he may have moved when arrow was released.

Nice one and dang thats a big hole guess they have came a long way in the way of broadheads in the past few years .
