The buck came out in the lane around 150 yds. He walked straight away and she had to grunt to get him to stop and turn back for a shot. She doesn't have a grunt call and I didn't teacher her to mwuack at em when they are moving. 169 yd shot. She couldn't tell exactly where he was standing when she shot, so her first attempt to find blood was unsuccessful. She began to doubt herself and feared she missed. After looking for 20 minutes she climbed back in the stand. I did my best to console her, but she was sick! About 10 our 3yo and I went to help her look. I started making small circles in the main trail where he was and she followed another trail. 3-5 minutes into our search she yelled my way that she'd found him. When I got to her, the buck was laying between a shed antler and a rubbed sweetgum 20 yds from her lane. This was her first solo kill. I'm proud of her accomplishment!
