Any luck around Palestine and Elkhart

Open day and not one shot fired anywhere around the area I was hunting. I only saw two big Doe's and a fawn the entire weekend. I'm seeing deer on camera and also some hogs. It will be two weeks before I go out again.

Wish I woulda been able to hunt without hearing a shot. All the city boys were down this weekend at their leases and I swear they must have a thousand shot minimum they must fulfill before heading back to the city. Either that or they got overrun by deer this weekend.

I had a job to do in Palestine last Monday night. On the drive back about 1am , I saw more deer than I have seen on that road in 7 years doing that same job, usually see a hog or 2, but it was all deer between Cayuga (Not sure of the spelling) and Palestine. no bucks worth a mention, but probably saw 20 deer along the road.
