Weather does not have as much to do with the rut as much as your location in the state does.

I had a ton of Rut like activity in stand yesterday morning. Even a couple of mature bucks chasing. Hope it wasn't the last time I have that much action this season! LOL

Not sure if the cold front has anything to do with it or not, but they've been chasing the hell outta' the does in Robertson County. Watched this morning as three little does got chased back and forth across a power-line right of way by a 4-point, a 3-point, a spike, and finally an 8-point and a 9-point joined in. I watched this go on for about an hour before I played party crasher by downing the 9-point.

Definitely on in Tyler county, I saw bucks following/chasing does this weekend and las weekend.

Bucks I saw in Mills were chasing does already and the one that was shot neck was swollen
