There is a good sized buck that just bedded down across the field from my blind. Spotted him with a thermal so we will know in the next 30 minutes when its shooting time if its him.

I live in Leon County and have no bucks of that quality on or near my place. He looks like a good buck,but if you aren't sure, let him walk. If you have exclusive access to him and noone else has a shot, get an accurate age on him. They were rutting pretty hard before I left for offshore and his genetics deffinately need a chance to spread. Either way you are one lucky guy to be seeing him. Good Hunting.

Just curious, how wide was he? It looks from the pictures like he barely passes antler restrictions. I've seen a few night and narrow bucks like that on my cameras.

Congrats! I'm in CVille and wouldn't hesitate. I have lots of bucks with similar antlers. Neighbors won't let em get get any age. Lucky to see a 3.5yo.

I've got a place just south of Oakwood and I wish I saw deer like that.
