Try and find the model number. It makes a difference whether it's worth $1K or $4K.

I tried that but failed. It appears to be a 1895SS when zooming into the barrel pic. Not 100% as it’s blurry at that scale.

SS means sporter with crossbolt safety

The rifle is marked 1895SS and has the cross bolt safety.

Those are always nice lever guns! If it has the cross-bolt safety, then it has to be 1984 or newer....

Do you have the rear sight that came on the rifle?
