WTB Marlin 39 .22lr

I’m looking for an early Marlin 39 .22lr. Pistol grip stock. Pre-war and I might consider up to the 50’s.

Good luck, they aren't easy to find. It tool me a couple years to get 2 one for each of my boys when they are ready. I got my great grandfather's 39a when I was 15. My wife jokes she will have me buried with it and my grandfather's browning hi power

Pistol grip pre-war? I did not know Marlin made a model 39 with a straight stock. The straight stock 39A's came out in 1953 so they're not "pre-war". "Non-A" 39s don't come up for sale often. My 39A is much newer ... 1951 peanut.

I’m far from an expert on Marlin configurations. Truthfully, this rifle will turn into a personal project for me; rebarrel, engraving, and Ive got a killer piece of wood to turn into a “deluxe” inspired stock.
