Our New Toyota Tacoma TRD 4x4

I've been a die hard Ford truck man since 1982 , switched to Toyota today !

I was a diehard Ford owner for 29 years until I switched in 2009. Now on my second. Tacomas are great trucks. I sold my first one for $4k less than I paid at 4.1 years old and 87.5K on ODO.

Ford would have been stuck in the hole I got in to on Sunday. Only Atrac saved the day and a long walk. Before and after pics.

I've been contemplating getting one to go along with the Superduty, just hate how little leg room there is in the back seat

Nice rig. I'm digging the color as well. There's a 4runner around here that has the same color and it's pretty sharp

nice color, was that a custom or a standard line? I have owned one and loved it, but it just could not haul the heavy loads I needed. My dad has one and I would buy another to just run around and have fun in, but they sure not made for hauling cows.

Love Toyota. I wanted a Tundra when I bought my last truck just couldn't stomach the gas mileage. Still got my 97 though.

They're just so reliable even when they're old as heck. My first vehicle was a 1980, was fun and could be fixed with bubble gum.

I got a 5.7L 4x4 tundra and it gets 15-16mpg...... My last truck with a F150 with a 4.6L 2 wheel drive and it got 15-16mpg

I'm with you. I was worried about the MPGs before buying my 5.7 Tundra 4x4. I have been pleasantly surprised. I got 16.5+ (hand calculated) overall on our Colorado fishing trip in July... That was fully loaded on the highway running 75-80 mpg - uphill going, fighting a 35 mph quartering-to wind coming back - and running around on forest roads while there.

It KILLS my old Z71 in every way!

318,000+ on my '01 Taco and still going strong. It's hard to tear them up.

Have a '15 taco TRD off road. Has rear diff lock and a bunch of other features for off road. Haven't used but the 4hi. Love em.

Like that color. I've had several tacomas and 4 runners. They are the best vehicles in their class and I really enjoyed driving them on rough/off road. They are a great value as far as vehicles go. Towing goosenecks all over the country is not possible with a Toyota. I've always had the toyotas as a second or third vehicle. I have to have at least a 3/4 ton diesel. Just got home from a 600mile trip with a 28' cattle trailer about an hour ago. They each have their place.
