I have a 2013 Duramax with a service engine soon light. Code says replace DEF tank? Wondering if this will keep truck from getting inspected? There used to be a place in north Ft Worth that would clear codes and and de-program the DEF system so you would not have to use it any more? I live in south Ft Worth.

Take it over to Fernando at Truck Techs in Haltom City, he will get you squared away! Then go trade it in on a Ford...

It will keep it from getting inspected and running... If it is out of warranty, delete it.

How many miles are on the truck?
I believe the def system is considered to be part of the emissions system and is required to be warrantied till 80k miles? I think. call a dealer and ask, it may be free to fix.
