Found this 4-5' coachwhip near our place the other day. He'll always get a pass. But figured I'd "shoot" a pic of him. smile

Yeah what you said there Choctaw on feisty. I had to end up shooting one about ten years ago when it refused to stop coming at me very aggressively and tried to bite me several times.

Good snakes for sure, but it is the only species of snake that has ever chased me more than a few feet. They can be very aggressive.

The fact that they eat the occasional rattler from time to time is a big plus. And yes they can be aggressive but harmless unless you hurt yourself running from them, they think they're Mamba's. Aggression seems to be their only defense.

Love those things. I used to keep one that was very calm, but I’ve also had them chase me.

Cool.... I always try to identify a snake before killing them..... good snakes are exactly that..... GOOD..... and even rattlers are good if they are not too close to family & friends.............
