Finally got my nilgai

Been wanting one of these guys for a long time. Just took 4 trips to get it done

Thanks guys. I shot him with a 375 H and H with a 300 gr Barnes TSX bullet. Dropped him with a pass through shot right in the shoulder.

I do lot of Nilgai hunting. I am guessing able to get one about every 3-4 trips. So 4 trips about right lol.
Some of best free range hunting Texas has to offer IMO. Wonderul animals.

Thanks guys! We never weighed him but he was pretty big. The base of big neck was 44 inches and 26 inches at the top 9f his neck.

What does it cost to hunt one of them? I’d like to get a young cow someday....never tried it but have always heard they are excellent to eat.
