FIRST WEEK OF RIFLE SEASON

I got a really fat Sow (she was pregnant). She came in real late all alone as I was getting out of my stand. It was too late to see my cross hairs on her at 250 yards so I stalked within 25 yards of her. When she raised her head I shot her in the face with the 6.8 and she dropped. It was only then I realized it was a pregnant sow and not a big lone boar. Felt bad but she is being made into breakfast sausage as I type this.



Dad got a Boar I had been getting game cam pics of. He had no ears at all. I thought they may had been removed by a dog or something but he didn't even had any ear canals so I am sure he was born that way.



I picked up my buck from bow season.



This Doe got so close to me in my ground blind I could have grabbed her by her ears at one point. There were actually 3 that close.

Thanks. Pics are pretty low quality this trip. Between the high winds blowing dust everywhere early in the week and then 3 days of rain and constant drizzle, I decided not to carry my usual camera with me in the field.

Next trip I plan to carry my 223 with me and take a Thanksgiving Turkey. In addition to the group of young hens above, I had a group of 18 Jakes and Toms come in. 3 were giants!
