I'm with you. This is my first year to try a bow and I have been practicing off and on since last season. For the first time in five years I have pictures of hogs at my feeder too. Can't wait.

Good luck.

Ha Ha nope! Just not a very good shot with my bow yet grin

Getting there and I am confident I can make an ethical shot and hit vitals hard. If I did not feel I could do at least that, I would not hunt with it.

Welcome to your new addiction, lol. Once you bowhunt, it will make rifle hunting seem like a beer drinking sport

Any of those shots would hit lung. I'd say you're ready. And pigs are great to practice on also. Just hit them somewhere and you've done a good thing.

I agree. If you can hit about a 5 inch spot on a deer with an arrow you will prob have a dead deer. Of coarse you could be the best shot in the world and still have a deer duck an arrow. Good luck.

Thanks it is an exciting hard to work week for me! We have some pigs, does, fawns, and small bucks on camera but no shooter bucks. We will see what happens, I may shoot an old fat doe if I get the chance. Pigs will definitely be shot if we see them. Pigs, coyotes, and bobcats get shot if we see them.

Welcome to a new addiction. It will improve your skills (noise, movement, smell, wind, etc) and leave you wanting more!

I shot 6 arrows Sunday. 6 times the amount I shot all of last year.

I did make the one shot count with a 140 inch 10 point up

After 42 years of gun hunting, I started bow hunting last year. It is much harder than I thought it would be. I saw lots of deer, but couldn't get one close enough. The one drill that I found useful is holding a draw for 2 minutes and then going back on target.
