We called them Boomers growing up. I was good at catching various critters in my lifetime. I remember catching 2 Boomers, Quite fast and they did have a bite.

I used to catch these in NM and sell them to a local Pet Store....yes, I know it is illegal, it was 35 years ago and I was in College. But, I would catch them with a Fly Rod and a barbless Fly.....it was awesome.
