A few of my favorites from Thailand

My wife and I just returned from Thailand on a fishing/vacation trip. Here's a few pics I really liked.

My Julliens golden carp. There were dozens and dozens of fish and I think we ended up with 9-10 species.

Very nice!! Do the locals drop those in grease like we do in the states?

Most of the fish they eat are small and cooked whole. I ate fish several times and none of it was fillets.

Nice pics not on my list of places to visit though

it's nice! Huge fish, great weather, good food and if some stuff goes down you'll be bigger than anybody there like I was so you can handle up on it.

I'm marking it off of mine. I would go back but I want to see the whole world so anywhere I've never been is good to me.

That is awesome CMC. My sister actually was over there for 2 years teaching English in 2014-2015ish and it is a great spot over there.

I spent a week there in Bangkok in 1970 on R&R from Vietnam. Loved it. Also spent some time a UT Air Force Base.

It's an exotic fishing paradise. Apparently there's not many rules on importing fish to Thailand. You can catch fish from all over the world there. I even caught an alligator Gar. We caught fish from the amazon, all over Asia, North America, literally the entire world. The water stays hot year around and the fish grow huge because they feed so much due to the hot water.

Been there, awesome place. I'd go back.

I was in Thailand 3 years after Vietnam, interesting place, not interested in going back.

Only thing missing was a Peacock Bass.

They were there. The aripima still haunts me, I wanted one bad and seen some huge ones surface. They were in every lake we fished but I could not get them to take any bait. We went to the market and bought every kind of fish they sell of all sizes and I put them right if front of aripiama for days and couldn't get a take. I'll return for them and the Siamese carp. I sat for five hours waiting on a Siamese carp and I missed my only run, it sucked bad but that's fishing. If you catch em all in one trip there would be no reason to return

That's the one! I seen them 7+ feet but never got a hit. I'll get one some day.

Here's the video of temples, floating market, night market, food, basically everything but fishing. I'm working on them now. This should give anybody who has thoughts of going some idea of what to expect. Hope you enjoy.
