I love those spiny little lizards; hope they make a big come back. When I was a kid, I always had 1 or 2 in a box of sand as pets. Very cool....

...same here....used to put them in my hand on their back and rub their belly...they would go to sleep.... up

LoL thought I was gonna see a big ol buck. Yeah those horned lizards not as common as they used to be. I think the fire ants decimated their primary food source RED ANTS.

Yea and people were a big part of killing them red ants too. I think we can all agree now though that red ants are a dang joy to be around compared to the fire ants.

We still see several. My daughter can have one tamed down in 5 minutes.

As soon as I read that had to post that picture, she will catch those rascals and rub their belly, they are her best friend for the day.
