Kill for the day

Black squirrel (Otospermophilus variegatus) juvenile. Man, I hate these things. Poison placed for his kin. There I was, sitting in my favorite lawn chair, enjoying a Partagas 1845, and this little bastard sticks his head out - go inside, load up the 62A, back to chair and cigar - sure 'nuf, curiosity got him killed.

'Wish I could find 2 or 3 more (rifled - there were smooth bores for carnival guns) that aren't shot out. They're great for rat shot too.

I have on just like it.....shot my first turkey with it when I was 14.....years ago.....was my great grandfathers rifle....

Smooth bore or not it apparently shoots well enough to dispatch a tree rat. Good job and really neat gun.

Man that is a CLASSIC. Couldn't take my eyes off of it. I'm sure everybody born before 1960 had one with fond memories.
