Awesome spotted pig at 5am

I sat from 7pm to 5am that's when a big sounder of pigs came in. Surprisingly they went right past the feeder and focused on where I sprayed the scent blocker HUI. There were at least 4 big sows and a ton of small pigs prob 20 or more. I was 50 yds away on the ground tucked into some cedar trees and shot this awesome looking sow when all hell broke out. Unexpectedly the entire sounder turned and ran straight at me. All I could see through the NV was pigs running full speed and crashing through trees all around me. I emptied the last 14 rds in my mag at point blank range and missed them all. I think this was prob the most exciting hog hunt over ever had and the best rush I've had since my last deployment

Personally I like shooting the spotted ones. I generally save them for the bow though. Gives me a good aiming point.

when there are pigs all around you there is no time for aiming haha.

I caught about 50 pigs in a fallow cane field by sneaking through a field of standing cane. Stepped up on the culvert over the canal separating the fallow from the standing cane. I had a bolt gun and dropped one. 49 pigs headed for the standing cane via the culvert I was on. My last four shots as they got larger and larger and I backed up faster and faster all missed. In broad daylight. I would have been better off swinger my rifle like a club...
