While the rib was off on a weekend girls' trip to Napa, the rugrats and me headed to the ranch for the South Zone opener. Turns out dove are pretty good at avoiding trucks filled with kids blasting Taylor Swift and Disney toons. We harvested more ant lions, monarchs and turkey feathers than dove, but had a blast nonetheless.

Not as much as the folks in George West, but it has been wet the past few months. I'll take it. Should be some birds coming in with the front this week.

Not as much as the folks in George West, but it has been wet the past few months. I'll take it. Should be some birds coming in with the front this week.

I got very little here where I live at and have not been to north Live Oak to check there. The had a good rain that was up to 37 and little beyond but not sure if it made it to my place there. The big number of doves have left here with this weather system moving down.
