A couple of young ones

A couple of young ones - 08/15/16 02:21 AM

These two young'ns have been hanging around this year. They've been on camera this past month. No trophies, but it is what it is. There is a third buck that shows up on occasion. Little better, but young. (ignore time&date)

This guy was out this 'cool' morning. The blue was rather brilliant in the sun, not in the image. It's about 5" across.

This one is bright yellow and slightly smaller.

Things are going pretty well on my little NE TX place...

Looks like a pair of twins, I got a pair that have been running together for the past couple years about the same age as those two.

I could be wrong, but looks like both of the butteflies are Tiger swallowtails- and you have both color morphs. Very cool!

I googled the images for Tiger Swallowtail due to your comment. Sure enough. Thanks for teaching me something GAB.

Entomology has become a new obsession for me, glad I could help ID them!

Another year or 2 and they should be really nice.
