I don't think the cat is collared. The very dark color (almost black) on legs and tail is unusual. I think that something with the flash is making the coloration appear darker than it actually is.

Perhaps the black legs and tail are because it is shedding its winter coat which was black...could this be one of the black panthers that I have been hearing about????
