Took these in eastern Washington state. Just thought they were kinda cool. If that's not a granery, someone please chime in....

I don't know, multi use grain/barn, but great photos of neat buildings

it is a grainery, drive through on the bottom, dump grain, augers to the top, never seen one quite like it. thanks for posting

By any chance did it appear that a railroad was once on that side of the road? I ask that because up around Hermeleigh Tx on HWY 84 headed to Lubbock there used to be grain elevator that was similar. It was where the local farmers shipped out their grain.

It was located in a defunct ghost town named Wastella. The elevator has been torn down and is now a cotton field. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wastella,_Texas

Not that I could tell DC. But I'll have to say I was kind of in a hurry and trying hard not to get run over as I took both photos from the side of pretty busy roads.

Great pictures. I have never seen anything like that granary, but I don't get out much. I suppose that was used commercially?

That's what struck me too Stub. It's hard to see on here, but the red poppies in the homestead photo (beside the middle outbuilding) combined with the yellows really make that photo to me.

Heres a pic of one I saw while in Canada, can't see the rail road but it is right next to the building. cool place to visit.
