My dog found this little milk snake in the yard last year, which I also think is pretty cool looking.

K I am confused, I always thought those were poisonous since it was red on yellow? What am I missing

That applies to coral snakes but not all snakes. I think that was meant to distinguish between coral snakes and scarlet kings snakes/milk snakes. Apparently they forgot about Longnose snakes.

Both have red and black. No yellow on either that I can see.
