It would be sinful to put a TV in that room.
Some amazing trophies there, plenty to admire and to share of with stories in the field. I'm jealous!
Amazing story that goes like this......I paid big bucks to pick those big bucks out of a lineup and then go kill "hunt" them.
I'm not hating on the guy, but yep, that seems to be the way "hunts" go now days.
I know of an operation outside of Gatesville that sold a 190" buck for $15K, including lodging. The outfitter took the client to blinds for two days where he knew the buck
wasn't. He acted all frustrated, putting on that maybe the deer got taken out by yotes or jumped the 10 foot fence. Said they hadn't seen the deer in a couple of weeks. Really juiced up the drama. They changed blinds on the third day and "found" the buck munching on protein, just like every other day for the past two years.
That being said, who am I to opine? The shooter got his buck, with a dramatic story about a tough hunt with an elusive beast, and the outfitter got some cash in his pocket. I thought about this scenario quite a bit last season. I decided that I shall not cast a stone, as I sat in my 5x8' blind waiting for the feeder to go off so I could pick out a cull doe for sausage. Oh, the duality of Man.
