Sitting this morning - 05/01/16 01:10 AM
On the tail end of this storm front I wanted to see what I could see. It was a pretty peaceful morning with zero wind, cool temps and occasional drizzle or mist.
Because water was running in the draw I sat in a stand looking through a slot across it. There's a feeder pen at the end of the slot.
The grass and clover is strong and over knee height. Pigs are a bit of a challenge to see when moving through it.
Though not difficult to spot once they enter the pen. One panel is raised about a foot and a half to allow them in. These guys are maybe 40 to 60 lbs I guess. I'm really enjoying my little S&W 300 Blackout combined with the black tipped TSX. Top it with a 2x7 and it's, well, lethal.
Unfortunately my ladder, which barely survived the 'coon incident, finally met its demise.
It was a good morning.
