A family affair!

The family picked up a couple of shooters this past weekend. The wife has been wanting a Kimber...because it's pretty and because I have one. I also picked up a Ruger Competition which I've wanted a while. My stepdaughter, who is more like a daughter to me, also wanted in the act so I bought a .22 for her to cut her teeth on. She wanted me to buy a pistol but I told her we start with a 22 rifle. I never thought we'd be able to pick up a NIB Kimber 1911 45 only $610.00. Crazy how much it has dropped in price!

It was a great weekend! My daughter and I went and shot the 22 rifle Saturday and then we all went shooting yesterday. Here are my targets. I shot at 3 yds and 7 yards. My wife shot the Ruger at a couple of the targets otherwise they are mine.

Great job and nice guns all, but I especially like that slab-sided Ruger. I have a soft spot for heavy barreled .22 semi-autos. Lots of great shooting time in store for that one I hope!
